What the app stores

When you save a name, Clan, or character—or leave a draft—the app stores that content in your browser's IndexedDB storage. This restores your Library and drafts on this device in this browser profile.

A short-lived navigation handoff may also be placed in session storage while you move between generators. It is removed after it is read or expires shortly afterward.

Your creative content

The app has no account system. Names, Clan details, character descriptions, stories, drafts, and custom word banks are not included in our analytics events. They remain in browser storage unless you choose to copy or export them yourself.

We do not use your creative content for advertising or send it to a remote AI service.

Optional Google Analytics

When analytics is configured for this site, Google Analytics 4 loads by default so we can understand page visits and selected tool actions such as generating, copying, saving, and requesting an export. We also record which parts of the OC editor are actively used and fixed categories of failed actions, such as a copy or export failing, without sending input values or error messages. Turning analytics off does not limit any tool.

Our events use known page paths, fixed action names, and limited categories or counts. We omit URL query strings and fragments, referral paths from other sites, and free-text inputs. Google Analytics also processes technical information such as browser and device details, cookie identifiers, and request information, which may be used to derive approximate location. This is not a guarantee of anonymous browsing.

Your analytics choice

Analytics is on unless you turn it off. If you choose to decline, we remember that choice in local storage for up to 180 days. While analytics is allowed, our host-only analytics cookies use the wcn_ga prefix and an expiry of up to 180 days. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer or here. If analytics is not configured, these controls are hidden and no analytics tag is loaded.

Turning analytics off stops our analytics events and removes this integration's analytics cookies on this device. It does not erase information already sent to Google. Clearing browser storage removes a saved decline, so analytics may load again on a later visit; if storage is blocked, a decline may last only for this visit.

Things outside the app's local storage

Like most websites, the site host may process standard request information such as IP address, browser details, and request time to serve this site. The exact retention and handling of server logs depends on the production hosting provider.

This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts. Loading them connects your browser to Google's font service; Google may process request information under its own policies. Your saved creations are not included in those font requests.

How to remove your data

Use your browser's site-data controls to clear this site's storage. In most browsers, open the site information panel next to the address bar, choose site settings, then clear data. This removes saved names, Clans, characters, custom word banks, and drafts for this browser profile.

Clearing site data cannot be undone. Private browsing, changing browsers, or using another device may also leave your saved work unavailable. Export Markdown or your Library JSON before making those changes.

This notice describes the local creative tools and optional analytics integration. It will be updated before changes to how the application handles your information are released.
